| Match report | Hearts were aying in the lads heads damage limitation today, despite a talking up from the managers, this was hard to break. We went 1-0 up through a great goal from Mitch he was up front on his own and did real well. we were watching the gam and for 25 mins we held our own and the 1-0 lead they equalised, technically they were a more gifted team, however in the last 10 mins of the first half that demon frustration set in. This has dogged us on a couple of occasions this season we were 1-1 against the best team in York for 38 mins and somehow we self destrcucted around the 30th min. some players started pulling down others in the team and before we knew it they grabbed a lead in the last min of half time. We tried to talk it up at the break but when they went out the body language said it all and it was in reality a massacre. there is no I in team but there is a me, the bickering continued some of the more confident players began pulling fault with others in the team, when this happens we los games of football its simple. We need to learn from this those that do the criticising need to take a look at themselves and realise that it is the critisism they dish out that is as much od a cause of heads dropping as as palying against a superior side. we didnt need to get hammered today we would likely of got beat but not hammered if we could have put in a full 80 mins. We should learn and develop from this, on the plus side and there were some Stan was again Man of the match. despite been criticised i thought the back four did OK against a team like Bish and deserve recognition. and Billy was exceptional in goal. and its a credit to the those that played to the end that we didnt get humiliated more. Mitch looks like a really good signing but unfortunatley he was a lone wolf as all the play for the majority of the second half was in our end. We missed David and Cam, Ross and were without subs really so the lads were tired in the end. |
