Match report	Time to focus on the league! Golden Gabbiadini failed to produce his Midas touch as Strensall dumped us out of the cup for the second time this season. The boys played well for 25 minutes in a tight, physical game. We were undone by an opening goal which everyone conceded was off-side, but without assistants, the referees have an uneviable job making the correct decisions at times. The second goal, just before the break, was a bit soft too, when the substitute just toe-poked a deflection to wrong-foot Ben and see the ball sneak over the line. The second half saw Ben make a great save right at the start, and then Liam's influence began to grow; he put Alex through and our prolific striker appeared to do everything right but the ball just skimmed the crossbar as he lifted it over the on-rushing Strensall keeper. Instead of a 2-1 scoreline and back in the game, within two minutes they went three up. After that we competed hard, but we were undone by some poor defending at set pieces, clearly something our Uefa B licence coach needs to work on - fast! Alex hit the bar late on having beaten the keeper, but there was scant consolation for the boys this week. As the mist came down, so did the curtain on our cup campaigns this season.
