Match report   We started with a similar line-up and again played a really good team game – defending in numbers and attacking in numbers, and always giving the player on the ball lots of support. By half time we were comfortably ahead, and Ryan had scored a well-earned goal after having umpteen attempts blocked, hit the woodwork or go past the post.
At half time defenders and attackers swapped places, but the pattern of play remained the same – solid Tigers defence, nice control and passing, strong running and plenty of attacks on the Stamford Bridge goal. The final score of 6-0 is well deserved.
A few more notable achievements today; first goals this season for Sol, Jake and Alfie, and a clean sheet for Sol. Nathan was a great addition to the team. Felix was at the heart of our attacking play, and still made sure he was back in his defensive position when needed. He scored a handful of goals, and some of his corner kicks were exceptional: So congratulations to you Felix, Player of the Day.
Clearly the Tiges have played better sides than Stamford Bridge. But don’t underestimate your victories today. You won convincingly – with no scary moments. Keep on practising your skills – first touch, control, passing, tackling, position and the rest of them – and you can go from strength to strength as a team.
See you on Friday I hope.
