Match report   On a cold frosty morning at Naburn, the pitch had just about thawed out in time for kick off. Both sides started brightly and played some neat passing football. David was making his Fulford debut and made a couple of great saves to deny Wheldrake, but there was nothing he could do about their opening goal, which found the bottom corner. Fulford kept pressing and thanks to some good play in midfield from Lewis and Olly, Joe C was seeing plenty of the ball and he scored two quick goals to give Fulford the lead.

Fulford had other good chances, but were made to pay for not taking them when Wheldrake first equalised, and then scoring the goal of the game with a length of the field move from goalkeeper through a number of players to their striker who finished well.

In the second half Wheldrake were on top and scored two quick goals. Joe C pulled one back to complete his hat-trick. Wheldrake however scored a further two goals to gain a 7-3 lead.

Fulford then started to dominate the game, led by Joe C who was making some surging runs through midfield. He scored with a hard low shot into the bottom left hand corner. Another Joe C cross was then volleyed into his own net by a Wheldrake defender.

Wheldrake still looked dangerous going forward, but Abraham, who was also making his Fulford debut made some good tackles.

Reza then got on the end of another Joe C cross to make it 7-6 with 3 minutes remaining.

Fulford pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but ran out of time.
