Match report   Another 3 points for 'Ford in the drive for promotion!

An improved Wheldrake team were the latest visitors to leave the Parish Field with no points, despite managing to hold FFC to 0-0 at half time.

An improved second half performance was the key with goals coming from Ash , Peps and Dave "Messy" Warner.

The game could have been closed out much earlier as Ford missed a number of chances in the first half; in truth the team probably tried a bit too hard to break the deadlock often resorting to long balls to try and turn the pedestrian Wheldrake back 4.

HT teamtalk focussed on upping the effort and playing football and the team responded accordingly, gaining the deserved result in the end. Strong performances in lots of areas but man of the match award went to Ed Gibb who was strong in defence and set piece attacks.

Defeat for Rufforth was a welcome bonus and we look forward to their visit to the Parish in two weeks time.
