Match report | Gabbiadini Senior's coaching position goes from strength to strength following this convincing victory. This contrasts with his administrative team's performance - it having took 3 weeks to get this report in! Remember that football is a game of two halves and the cliche' is well fitting for this game. By half time Fulford were 4-0 up with goals from Bedo, Joe and Alex. This 45 minutes was one of our best performances of the season with the midfield performing well as a unit - Carlo and Tom R putting in strong showings as well as the goal scorers. Pavs and Gianni also deserve mention for strong work in defence. The second half promised the possibility of double figures but, to their credit, Poppleton were determined to make the second period more balanced. Fulford could only add one more goal, courtesy of Liam's impressive free kick. But Poppleton won the second half with two outstanding shots that Ben could do little about. Ultimately the result a comfortable one and Fulford move on to some crucial games in February with the need to recapture and sustain the form they showed in the first half. |
