Match report	And so the day dawned; the possible day of reckoning. With the 1st team needing 2 pts from the last 3 games and with two tricky fixtures to finish it was important that 'Ford made the most of an away trip to Civil Service... So with nerves a-jangling the bus pulled into the Rawcliffe car aprk and the countdown began; a strong cross wind and a bone dry bobbly pitch threatened to upset the FFC rhythm and for long periods it looked like it might be a frustrating day, until just before half time. Sustained Ford pressure led to the breakthrough as Jamie bundled the ball into the net from close range from Peps' pin point corner. Civil Service worked hard to frustrate Ford without really threatening until 15 minuts from time when Holme was in the right place to clear off the line as the ball was prodded through a melee of players towards the Fulford goal. No further scares after that and Ford closed the game out without ever reaching the heights seen the week before at Old Malton. The final whistle settled the neves and confirmed the victory and Ford's promotion to Div 2. The journey has two stops left - home to Rufforth and away to champions elect Taddy - so the goal is achieved but it would be good to do the double over Rufforth and stop the Taddy bandwagon, if only briefly!
