Match report   So with promotion guaranteed Ford's management team were able to relax a bit before todays game, well as much as they know how to!

With Cadey en route back from Oz we soon realised we needed more keys than we had but Richo came up with the goods to get the game on.

And so the weather cleared and the game started with Ford getting into their stride and playing decent football. So it was to everyone's surprise that Rufforth took the lead when a ball was lumped into the box (that bit wasnt the surprise ;-) ) and a 'mix-up' resulted in the ball looping off Harro's bonce into the back of the Ford net. Is that technically one more to his tally???

Ford continued to enjoy long spells of pressure with Tatey going close, Hoody having an effort scrambled off the line and Sam hitting the post as his goal bound shot hit a parish field bump to deflect it onto the post.

Surely it was only a matter of time before Ford's scored ... and sure enough they id just before HT. A ball into the Ford box bobbled around and Holmesy cooly slotted the ball into the corner of his own net, thinking he was the other side of the post and putting it out to safety.

So Ford had played 45mins of good football and were 2-0 down. The pattern continued in the seond half and Jamie threaded a ball thro the pedestrian Rufforth defence for the hard working Graham to finsih well for 2-1. And shortly after it was 2-2 as Graham was felled in the box by the toiling Rufforth centre half and Harro dispatched the penalty with aplomb.

But within minutes Rufforth had taken the lead again; a free kick on the edge of the box earned Holmesy his first 1stteam booking of the season and the free kick was curled past the wall and the ford keeper.

So 3-2 down but still time to turn it round with fresh legs introduced to the fray. Step up Steve Jarvis, having his best game in a 'Ford shirt this year; one of several mesmerising runs from the FFC winger was finished with a great strike to beat the keeper and level the scores. No time for the winner unfortunately, but 'Ford score 5 for the second time this season against Rufforth...just a shame 2 were o.gs!

Last game is 25th at Taddy...see you there.
