Match report   One of the world's great sights - the spectacle of the sun setting behind the Cliff Hanger at Flamingo Land - was a fitting scene to complete a very satisfactory afternoon for the Under 15s. With the sort of temperatures more expected at a May Champions League final in Rome or Athens than a late March afternoon in North Yorkshire, Fulford delivered probably their best performance of the season to put Pickering - a team they could only draw against at home - to the sword 5-0. On a pitch well known for its slope and bumps, the boys passed and moved as if they were United, Barcelona and Ajax (circa 1974) rolled into one. Ricardo came prepared to bellow carefully considered tactical instructions but was left in silent appreciation of the 'total football' on show from the away team. Fulford's achievement was even more notable given the number of players missing which meant no substitutes were available on what was surely one of the hottest March days in Yorkshire in living memory. Despite the abundance of attacks from the outset, the first goal did not come until midway through the first half, a well executed volley from Josh Moran. From then on the goals flowed freely with two from Alex and one each from Bedo and Carl. The defence was rarely overly taxed but Emo, Pav, Scully, Liam - and Ben in goal - dealt with Pickering's attacks efficiently when needed. The midfield created in attach and pressured in defence, with player of the match Bedo standing out but Carl, Josh Q and Tom R all putting in excellent performances. A good day all-round but it will be crucial to maintain this form into the last three games of the season to win the Championship.
