Match report | Fulford suffered their 1st defeat in 4 matches as they went down 4:1 away to Brooklyn in difficult conditions due to a strong cross wind. It was Brooklyn who adapted to the conditions better and took an early 2:0 lead which they held until half time. Fulford were much improved in the second half even though they lost their goalkeeper Jack Bell to a knee injury making a brave save at the feet of the oncoming Brooklyn striker. Paddy Wintie pulled one back from the penalty spot, smashing it down the middle after Rob Cowley was tripped in the box. Fulford then went three at the back and had a sustained period of pressure to try and force an equiliser but it was Brooklyn who broke away with two late goals to seal a deserved victory although 4:1 was probably a little harsh on the visitors. |
