Match report	Fulford took on Brayton in the cup final at Poppleton in what was always going to be a tough match as Brayton have got stronger as the season has progressed with some superb results in recent weeks. Fulford attacked down the slope with the wind in their favour in the 1st half and made the advantage count as top goalscorer Jez opened the scoring striking a difficult bouncing ball across the keeper with her left foot to score her eighteenth goal of the season from fourteen matches. Brayton played well but came up against a strong back line of Emma F & Beth and Holly had no shots to save and the half time score was 1-0. It was always going to be difficult as Brayton had the slope & wind in their favour in the second period. Jane & Elisha played well in midfield but Brayton created a few more chances in the second half with Holly forced into making a couple of comfortable saves. As time ticked away a few nerves crept in as we knew Brayton were a threat going forward so there was great relief and big celebrations when the final whistle blew to secure a 1-0 victory and the completion of a third consecutive league and cup double. The cup & shield was presented by League Secretary David Winterburn and the player of the game awarded to a well deserving Jane. Congratulations to the full squad for a remarkable and successful season.
