Match report | Fulford Report match home v Dunnington On a bright sunny morning at The Outgang, the Fulford under 12's put in a great performance against a very spirited Dunnington side and came away with a 6-0 win. A really strong defensive performance throughout the game from Jodie Himsworth, Eleanor Pragnell and in particular Lizzie Derbyshire laid the foundation for the rest of the game. Excellent team work an passing from the midfield and forwards saw Fulford go to a 3-0 lead at half time with goals from Grace Hall, and Katie Astle (2). Great work from Annwenn Thurlow and Mia Fairburn leading to these goals. In the second half more passing moves from Frankie Meadows, Tasha 'usain' Pegg as well as the pre mentioned girls saw Fulford score a further 3 goals, with a great moment as Ysie Sheppard scored her first ever league goal. Katie J in goal made a couple of excellent saves, and kept her concentration to the end, special mention must be made for the Dunnington defence, but in particular their goalkeeper who made some brilliant saves, some from point blank range. Girl of the Game was Lizzie Derbyshire for a tackle reminiscent of Stuart Pearce in pure Psycho mode, as well as a tremendously commanding defensive performance Well done girls!!! |
