| Match report | After heavy rain had left the pitch very soft it was always going to be difficult to play fast flowing possession football but we encourage this team to get the ball down and pass it around as much as possible. Fulford had good possession early on and tested the Brayton keeper who played very well and made some good saves. The first real chance fell to the Brayton striker who found herself one on one with Holly, she struck it really well but Holly pulled off a top quality save with her right foot to keep the score goalless heading towards halftime. A shot from leading scorer Jez from just outside the box was well saved but the keeper was unlucky as her momentum carried her over the line and Fulford took the lead. Just before halftime Jez scored her and the teams second as a left foot shot went in off the right hand post. Halftime score 2:0. Issie & Elisha were magnificent in midfield totally controlling the game. Beth was collecting the ball and marauding forward at every opportunity and unleashing powerful shots that were either blocked or well saved. Girl of the game Issie then scored Fulford's 3rd goal and a brilliant individual effort. Down the right hand side beat three defenders before shooting between the keepers legs. Kirstin and Connie had replaced Lucy D & Emma F and Kirstin was a constant threat and soon set up Jez to complete her third Hat trick of the season to make it 4:0. Lucy W & Zara then replaced Jez & Kirstin. The final goal of the game from the impressive Beth from a direct free kick from just outside the box. A fierce right foot shot flew into the top left hand corner of the net to complete a superb all round team performance. |
