Match report	For th second game we were down to the bare bones after Jonathan was unable to resume after the earlier bruising encounter. Liam continued to look dangerous up front and linked up well with Harle and Sam who just failed to connect to finish off what would have been a spectacular team goal. The pattern of the first half was getting caught outnumbered several times at the back and we seemed to be chasing shadows against some neat attacking from Woodthorpe who were quicker to the second ball. 3 goals came quickly and half time couldn’t come quick enough. As others tired Luke, playing in the central role, really began to take control. He was at the heart of all the good football we played, releasing Liam and Joe on several occasions. He seemed to cover acres when others looked like running in treacle. Some composed passes immediately relieved pressure at the back and others instigated a team breakaway – one of which saw Liam race from halfway to finish emphatically for a goal he’d long since earned. As we sniffed a comeback with minutes remaining on the clock we pushed forward again into an ever stronger gale. Woodthorpe managed a 4th (a second half equaliser!) on the break and that’s how it finished. Man of the match was Luke for showing increasing maturity on the ball and never giving up on leading an unlikely comeback.
