| Match report | A quite stunning game of football with excellent commitment and skill from all players including Wigginton. Harry was Viking's keeper with Joseph and Jack in defence. Harrison and Tilly up front for the first half. Fulford were straight out of the blocks commanding a 3-0 lead. Harrison with the first goal after a great run down the left wing then slamming it past the Wigginton goalie. Tilly scored the second after a great corner from Harrison and then Harrison scored a third direct from a corner, the ball curling in at the far post! I think the Vikings were still celebrating their 3rd goal as Wigginton then ran straight through from the kick off to score. 3-1 at half-time. The second half arrived with the introduction of Daniel and Miles in defence, Harrison and Eddie up front. Wigginton were obviously spurred on by their 1st goal and pieced together a wonderful 3 pass move which carved right through the Fulford defence, Harry unable to stop the resultant shot 3-2. Undeterred, Harrison regained Fulford's 2 goal lead after a great run from defence towards Wigginton's goal unleashing an unstoppable shot 4-2. Unfortunately Wigginton found another gear and scored 3 quick goals to put themselves into the lead. The crowd was going wild and I was losing my voice! With seconds on the clock Harrison took the ball down the right wing and found a pin point pass to Eddie who took a touch and calmly scored Fulford's 5th. 5 all it finished WOW!! Player of the Match was Harrison giving 110% scoring a hat-trick and finding Eddie for the equaliser! |
