Match report | A fantastic game of football against a reasonably strong Brooklyn side. Miles was in goal for the first half, Joseph and Oliver in defence, Alex and Tilly up front. The Vikings were knocking on the door quite a few times in the first half but the ball just wasn't falling right. All credit to Alex though who wasn't 100% today and his usual spark and running was missing. He still tackled well for the ball and lay off some good passes though. Fulford finally found the back of the net after a well worked move between Joseph and Tilly. Joseph ran with the ball down the left wing and picked a perfect pass to Tilly who calmly slotted it home. 1-0 should have been 2 on the half time whistle as Oliver found time and space to shoot into the top corner only to be denied by a diving "cat like" save from the Brooklyn goalie. The second half introduced Tilly in goal, Daniel and Miles in defence, Oliver and Harry up front. Fulford carried on from where they left off with Miles full of tackling spirit and who then picked off a great pass to find Oliver. Oliver continued his run and fired the ball past the Brooklyn goalie. 2-0 soon became 3-0. Another fine move, this time between Oliver and Joseph. Oliver with a super bit of dribbling and then finding a great pass to Joseph who struck the ball over the line. Player of the Match was Daniel who helped Fulford keep a clean sheet with some great defensive tackles. 3-0 it finished |
