| Match report | A super entertaining match of football with goals galore! Harry Cousins in goal, Joseph and Tilly in defence with Eddie and Harrison up front and Clem in midfield. Fulford were caught napping at the start and were soon 2-0 down with two well taken goals by Tadcaster. Undeterred Fulford played on looking for their first goal which came from a quick throw in by Harry which found Clem at the back post who knocked it in over the line. 2-1 at half time and Fulford had a reshuffle with Tilly and Joseph up front, Eddie in midfield, Harry Lewis and Harrison in defence. Spurred on by their last goal Fulford pushed forward for the equaliser - a fantastic first time volley from Eddie JB! Eddie was positioned in the middle of the penalty area when the ball came straight down from above. He never took his eyes of the ball and volleyed first time into the goal 2-2. Tadcaster pushed on again and soon scored another to go 3-2 up. Tilly and Joseph worked well together with some great passing. Tilly got through on goal and was brought down for a blatant penalty! Bizarrely enough the ref gave a free kick on the edge of the box. This didn't stop Tilly from scoring Fulford's third though as she basted the free kick into the roof of the goal! 3-3. The game finished with both teams looking for the winner, unfortunately that fell to Tadcaster and the game ended 3-4. A highly entertaining game which we were unlucky to lose. Player of the match was Eddie JB with some great tackling and a super volleyed goal! |
