| Match report | Lining up against the same team, the boys were determined to assert their authority with goals. A similar pattern emerged with Luke pulling the strings in midfield. After some trickery on the wing he cut inside, slipped the ball to Liam who was able to stretch a leg out to leave the onrushing Sam the simplest of chances. 1-0. Luke had taken the game by the scruff of the neck and an audacious volley from the left wing lobbed the keeper but hit the bar. Brooklyn could barely get out of their half and Edward was timing his tackles to perfection when needed. Luke finally got his reward with a scrambled finish after panic in the Brooklyn defence. In the second half clemmie returned to cause havoc and was on hand to get the last touch on a goal bound effort from the selfless Liam. Despite being put on in defence the irrepressible Luke still managed to grab the 4th late on, as well as finding time to chase down a few late Brooklyn breaks. Although everybody had a great game it was Luke H who comes away with a well-deserved man of the match. |
