Match report   Fulford clinched a third trophy of the season thanks to a brilliant team display by the entire 9 man squad. The first match was v Haxby C. Fulford had a number of good chances, but the Haxby keeper made a number of great saves and we had to rely on an own goal to get the win. Next was a hard thought 0-0 draw with Rawcliffe. Fulford found their form in the next game v Woodthorpe B. Ross smashed the ball into the roof of the net to open the scoring, and Joe I and Will added further goals to make it 3-0 by half time. The highlight of the match was still to come, Joe C raced down the wing and put in a good cross that Olly met on the half volley. The goalkeeper managed to turn it over for a corner with a superb reflex save. From the resulting corner, Joe C found Tom H on the back post and he headed home to make it 4. In the final group game v Scarborough Phoenix, Fulford had to come from behind for a 2-1 win. The equaliser was from a superb crossfield pass by Tom G to Joe I who knocked it inside to Will who scored from close range. Tom H then got the winner when he latched on to a through ball to slot home.

In the quarter final we played Poppleton A. Fulford scored straight from the kick off when passes by Joe C and Joe I fed Will who turned and shot in one movement. Joe I added a second with a great left foot finish from just outside the box. Poppleton came back strong and pulled a goal back, but Fulford held on for a 2-1 win.

In the semi-final it was Hamilton Panthers. It was a tight game and Fulford wEre thankful that Harvey pulled off a great save when the Panthers striker broke clear on goal. Tom H grabbed the winner with a close range finish a few minutes from time.

The final was v Haxby. Will was on great form and created a couple of chances for himself, but the shots went narrowly wide. The winning goal came about 4 mins from the end when Joe I reacted to a Tom H cross-shot and turned it into the net. Haxby threw everything at Fulford but the Fulford team defended superbly and were worthy winners.

It was a great team effort, but special mention must go to Archie and Olly on their A Team debuts and Tom G who had a fantastic tournament at Centre Half, which is not his regular position. WELL DONE TO ALL!!!!
