Match report   We were without George again today due to an ongoing injury and we needed to think about how to put the ball in the net given the result of the last game, we played where we dominated for the entire game then lost it in the last seconds.

We had played and beat rufforth before but only just in what was a tit for tat game when it came to scoring, today proved to be a similar affair.

we put Chris up front he is cool on the ball and can really hit it well, this paid off and after a few mins of the game put us one up, combining really nicely with Cameron Thompson.
Then two mins later did it again the other way around and Cameron banged one in, at this point we thought this could be our first goal rought, however we lost our cool and Ruff pulled one back and we went to peices and Rufforth equalised, we were down on our luck as James Gonclaves was hacked down and was taken off till we could assess his injury luckily he was OK.

then before we knew it Ruff had scored another and it was 3-2 to them, the lads heads said it all.

Half time came and was a serious discussion it was timely cause the lads knew that they had the game by the balls and had let it go, they knew they could score and attack, we looked potent everytime we went forward though we were suffering at the back for our attacking prowess.

I say this time and again we are a nice team of nice lads but this has a price, which means we often play a very polite game of football, and half heartedly go for the ball with our toe ends, this is fine if you are against an equally polite team, however Ruff were going through the ball.

After a serious discussion we switched things a bit more.
David into the back four, Ben to midfield, Ross into Strike, Cam back to left back. what a change in attitude Guy captain fantastic strong detrmined David mopping up everything and Ross going ape up front Ruff, came at us strong and at first thought they had us on the ropes, i heard one of their lads say, "we have got this" one of those dont speak too soon statements.

and before we knew it Chris had banged in his next goal 3-3 and Ruffs time to drop their heads, and we had our tails in the air.

On we went next thing Ross was in the frame and on goal he poked a beauty into the corner of the net 4-3 then on we went for Chris to get his hatrick 5-3 a slip of concentration and ruff got another 5-4 to us, a real 9 goal thriller.

It paid off and we took some more points battling spirit and good performance and comeback from the lads it sure felt good to me so it must have felt good to them.

Its worth mentioning the back four although suffering in the match through our players commited to attack they plugged up solid and we started to push balls forward to feed the midfield who in turn fed the forwards.

David T such a great utility man up front, midfield, defence vital to us, Chris played a great game up front and had a certain swagger of confidence up there that we clearly needed, Ben feeding balls up field striking really well. Guy on form as usual and in the second half commanding. But today MOM goes to Frankie who was solid in the whole game and surged forward and meddled and kept the right side of the field tight.
