Match report   Another pre-season friendly and a few different faces on show for their first run out of the pre season, including the ever green Ratters partnering Ash in the middle of the park.

No rain this week but a bobbly pitch gave rise to a different game to last week with the ball spending too much time in the air in the first half.

Fenton took the lead but were soon pegged back as Demps latched onto a bouncing ball, turned the defender and rounded the keeper to score from the angle. 1-1 at HT and a few selected words from P suggesting the ball needed to come out of the clouds.

The planned changes made, 'Ford started playing football on the deck but went behind to a solo effort from Fenton's no.6 who was allowed to run too far without 'Ford getting a tackle in. But the heads didn't drop and the reward came when the Fenton keeper (De Gea??) fumbled a low shot, let it slip through his legs and shovelled it across the line.

Fenton had a couple of shots off target before a clear penalty decision gave Demps the chance to make it 3-2 and secure his hat-trick.

A much improved second half showing was capped off by a fine goal from Ash Hope, flicking the ball over his head, turning the defender and lobbing the keeper from 35 yards to the delight of the 'Ford players and crowd...

So a good win against a team from a higher division with good second half performances around the park, the only blot being concern about Sam's hamstring after a brief 10minute Cameo in the second half.
