| Match report | Hot day at Dunnington brought our 1st league game against F1 Racing. The game was very tight in the 1st half with not many shots on goal for either team but as players began to tire the play opened out a bit with a few chances coming ‘Ford’s way. A cracking through ball from Chris Dempsey saw Nick Turnbull latch onto the ball; a great strike saw the goal keeper parry it out only for Danny Penrose to follow up and fire the ball into the top corner! Not too long after, a run from Chris Dempsey led to the ball getting passed out to Ash who crossed it in for Steve Jarvis to head past the goal keeper for an unassailable 2-0 lead! Yet again another clean sheet. 5 in a row now!! Man of the Match: N Turnbull. A great start to the season getting 3 points on the board. Onwards and upwards to the promised land. Next stop Barmby Moor at home. |
