| Match report | Well the winning run came to an end courtesy of 3 poorly conceded goals in a first half that saw 'Ford shoot themselves in both feet. Admittedly the Fenton team were younger, bigger and more accomplished than the team 'Ford beat pre season but it was a game that could have been won. Persistence from Sam Harro saw him bag a brace of goals as Fulford fought their way back into the game; and a bit more luck might just have seen one of two great efforts from Jamie H dip under the bar instead of flying just over. And if the ref had seen the blatant handball in the first half...well who knows. So the cup holders go out at the first hurdle and we focus on the ER cup and the league. Ash got MoM today after a battling never-say-die performance in the middle and up front in the second half. The 3 free pints were gratefully received...but not by Ash! Onward and Upward... |
