Match report   Hard fought game for 'Ford today but the spirit and hard work brought the deserved winner at the death to take Fulford to the top of Division 3. A win for the Reserves maintained their unbeaten league run and keeps them in top spot in Reserve C too.

Injuries to Harro and Steve J along with late withdrawals forced yet another re-shuffle with Dave W asked to lead the attack with Thato. The team once again had a young look to it with a number of Fulford's U19s being drafted in to the squad.

The first half had chances for both teams with Elvington's keeper making decent saves to keep out efforts from Dave and Thato before Jamie was called into action to clear off the line at the other end.

It looked like it was going to be stalemate at HT until Jamie stepped up to convert a free kick into the top corner in sublime fashion. So 1-0 to 'Ford who just about deserved the lead as the second half got under way. 'Ford enjoyed most of the early play in the second half and the tackles began to crunch as both sides got stuck in. Unfortunately for Fulford a sloppy pass on the right allowed Elvington to break and score to level the scores.

The setback spurred 'Ford on though and P introduced Liam and Tatey to provide some fresh legs to push for the winner as the clock ticked towards the 90. Dave W burst through to beat the keeper on the angle only to see the ball bobble and shave the post before good work down the right forged an opportunity. Jamie latched onto the ball on the edge of the box and showed great skill to beat his man and finish superbly to seal the win.

So another win for a young 'Ford team with contributions from everyone around the park.

Big thanks to P's no.2 young Denst who remained calm under all the pressure and looked after the clipboard all afternoon. As a Potters Bar lad he is ideally placed to take over from Arsene when the Gunners decide its time for a change.

Hull again next week in the cup.
