| Match report | This was one of our best matches so far this season. After the goaless draw in the first match - Fulford really got going in this second encounter and soon began to dominate all over the pitch. Great Passing from the wings from Finlay & Sam P. Good last ditch defending too from Jay & Isaac tracking back. We notched our first goal after Isaac danced his way through the strensall midfield and slotted the ball home past the keeper. The momentum was building - Marcin was a rock in the defence with some great tackles keeping his position well. We soon doubled our lead with a clinical cross from finlay that was met first time by Isaac who blasted into the back of the net. Max had some good runs up the pitch and had some good long shots on target too. Sam pickup had some great runs down the wing and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet today. Sam O Donnell got our third goal with some strong forward play and a good turn and finish to beat the strensall goalie. (Great way to christen his new boots.) The game was all but over when fulford were awarded a penalty for a strensall handball in the box. Finlay took the penalty and unleashed a super power strike that amazingly the goalie saved - However quick witted Fin followed up his shot and pounced on the rebound to score fulfords fourth. My man of the match today was Ebor debutant Marcin for his solid play in defence. Well done Marcin |
