| Match report | On an afternoon that started very brightly just got progressively worse and ended up absolutley diabolical. Right thats the weather forcast over. Sadly for Fulford today the performance was even worse that the weather. Having managed to reach half time only 1-0 down there could of been reason for optimism. 5 mins into the second half the optimism was crushed having conceeded 2 goals in the space of 2mins. Heads dropped and the team got so deep at times they were in danger of coming into contact with a nuclear submarine. There is no dispute that wiggy were the better team, but 7-0 was a bit of a harsh scoreline at the end. Perhaps if there was more effort in training and more commitment from a large number of senior players at the club this weekend would not of been as bad as it turned out. 3 teams played over the weekend all 3 got beat (convincingly) but if those players who arnt bothering coming training or when they do put some effort in and dont ring up at the last minute letting the teams down by saying they cant play all 3 results could of been very different. Its important that when you come training you give 100% effort because its not just wasting our time, but its also wasting your time. Have a think about the effort your going to put in at training on Thursday & if its not 100% then to be honest you may as well stay at home. Its vital we all train hard and stick together as we have some tough games coming up. Man of the match today was Sam Pepper for his tireless effort and kept going right until the end. Special mention to a lad whos commintment is seconds to none, James Nelson who ran the line in the rain for 90minutes and never lets us down when we call him up last minute due to players letting us down!!! |
