Match report   FFC came back from a 4 week winter break with a good win against a battling Ouseburn side...

The start was all important for 'Ford and early pressure on the Ouseburn goal eventually brought its rewards as Sam beat the goalie to a through ball and was brought down to earn a penalty which he duly dispatched past the despairing dive of the keeper. (I know its a long sentence!)

Further FFC pressure and a string of corners followed without 'Ford being able to add to the score. HT 1-0.

The second half began in similar fashion but Ouseburn grew into the game as they sensed the chance to snatch an equalizer. Chances came and went at both ends but it was Demps who came up with the crucial score. A jinking run and a sublime finish gave 'Ford a 2-0 lead and breathing space for P to ring the changes and introduce fresh legs.

And the switch worked a treat for the patient Olly Souter who tore into the box to get on the end of a pin-point pass from Demps and sidefoot past the keeper with his first touch.

So a well earned , hard fought at times, win to keep Ford in second place as the race for promtion hots up.
Great performances from alot of players today; we just have to do the same each week until the season finishes.

Keep the faith!
