Match report   Another hard fought game for Ford but another 3 points added to the tally for the season.

Having got the game on, with both goalies agreeing to playing on a very firm pitch, it was FFC who started brightly and pressured the home defence. The tactic of getting the full backs push on brought almost instant reward as Nock tate burst forward and lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box for 1-0.

A flurry of chances came and went as both Sam H and Sam P were denied by the keeper.

Elvington forced their way into the game and drew level from a corner with Ford's keeper Kallum just failing to hold onto the cross and the Elvington attacker pouncing to nod home.

But the lead was restored just before HT as the irrepressible Dave Warner held the ball up in the box, turned the centre half and drilled the ball past the keeper. HT2-1 to FFC.

The second half ebbed and flo'ed with Elvington probing and forcing several fine saves from Kallum. Chances again came and went for 'Ford in a nail biting half which Elvington fancied was theirs for the taking.

Fresh legs were introduced and Nick Turnbull carved an opening down the left and crossed for Ash to force home at the far post. 3-1 Ford and Olly and Hoody came on as the formation was shuffled to close the game out. No first touch heroics this week for Olly but Hoody managed to get his name on the card (the yellow one) for preventing a quick throw-in.

So the journey continues, the bus is purring and the Promised Land is on the horizon. Just 6 more games to go and our destiny is in our hands. Lucky horses.
