Match report | Very wet conditions today. The vikings first game against Hamilton panthers was a very hard fought battle. Some great positives came from this game and alot of proof to the coach's that the players are listening and taking into games what we are doing in training. The Vikings scored first after some great passing and dribbling from the whole team. Sam found himself out wide and with a superb long range shot scored. Panthers scored next to equalise just before half time, their goal coming from a bit of a goal mouth scramble. Which made it 1-1 at half time. It was good to see every player encouraging each other at halftime with nobody's head going down. The Vikings carried on were they left off in the first half and kept their positions on the pitch really well. Joseph was solid in goal. Great defensive work from Harrison and John and Ciaran was everywhere in midfield. Zachary played up front and made some great runs into the box both with the ball and with out just showing the work the team was doing for each other. Lorenzo put in some brilliant passes and after Harrison played the ball down the touchline to him he crossed the ball perfectly to Sam to score the winning goal to finish the game 2-1 winners. |
