| Match report | What can i say, we never really turned up today teams have a poor day and today was one of ours. After last weeks game this one brought us backdown to earth with one heck of a thump. Copmanthorpe were a decent side but really we should have won them quite easily, they did have a very good player in their no 17 but he was one man. Had we scored our goal an hour earlier we would have hammered them, but they just kept pluggin away and manged to take the game out of our reach. We missed David and Will today but we need to learn from this one and get on with winning our leugue games as we are out of the cup now. At half time i thought we were unlucky to be two goals down but we didnt have it in us to come back from it today. for the last 10 mins we had them on the ropes but it was too late and we were never going to get the game back, so there was a lack of belief. There were some glimpses of our usual form but today was just going to be one of those days where we were levelled and brought back to reality. When you sit top of the leugue and play like we have in previous games you start to think big, so if anything today was a good thing as we know we can play poor and get well beaten if we are complacent, and i think we were i thought we would win this one with ease a lower division side in the cup it will be a breeze. But they came at us and punished us, our goal was a great goal a great cross from James to Aaron who headed home, Seth battled away today and played like it was still a game he though he could win rgiht to the last min. |
