Match report	Winter has arrived! The weather was wet to begin with, and just got wetter. Well done to players and parents for braving the conditions and playing on through. And thanks to Ryan and his dad for sharing their hot chocolate at half time! As you can see from the score the Lions won convincingly. Most of our goals came from Ryan's deadly left foot, although one of the best was the move that finished with Ryan putting a short pass across the goal area for Andrew to tap in. At the other end both keepers - Archie and Luke - kept clean sheets. The Lions defence was well organised and hard working, and gave very few opportunities to the York RI players. Our goalies kept their concentration well in very difficult conditions, and cleared up anything that got past the defenders. All in all a very good team performance, with defenders supporting the attacks and attackers getting in good tackles. Every player can be pleased with their contribution to this win. Ryan's goals and all-round play stand out as ever. However the Lions captain - Andrew -capped a strong performance all over the pitch with a goal of his own, and receives this week's 'Player of the Day' award. Conratulations to today's Lions team: Andrew, Luke, Emma, Archie, Ryan and Joshua. Well done.
