Match report | We stitched a few things around in this game, including Damain and Andy sharing time between the sticks. The result, again, was a convincing victory for the Lions. George (2), Alfie (3) and Damian (5 - I think!) were our scorers with some great finishes on display, including Damian hooking in a volley from close range and striking a cross first time powerfully into the bottom corner. Ethan also found Damian with an inch perfect cross for Damian to head one in late on. MoM was awarded to the whole team. The eight players who represented the Lions today, put on a real display. let's hope we can carry through our stlye of play against stiffer opposition. Special mention was made today of the "unsung heroes" like Simeon who worked tirelessly in defence and snuffed out any chances Stamford Bridge had of making a comeback in either game. Players who can "do a job in a position" are what it is all about, and Simeon today was a great example of someone who did their jod and made a real difference to the team. Well done to all of you. |
