| Match report | This game versus Copmanthorpe was a match that Peter wanted to win after throwing a 2-0 lead away last season to lose 3-2, he hoped that the loss last season would be reversed. The match kicked off at a frenetic pace with Fulford going 2-0 up within 10 minutes with a goal each for Damian and Andrew, Andrew’s effort being pretty spectacular. George set up Damian for a great team goal. Alfie E started the match very confident in his holding role dictating the passing of the team. The back two of Simeon and Jordan were very strong and both played their part in this defensive role that sometimes goes unnoticed however very much a main part in the team. Ethan, Thomas and Henry came on at half time and Ethan immediately put Fulford 3-0 up with a very well taken goal. Copmanthorpe however then utilised the speed of their striker to pull two goals back. This left Fulford protecting a one goal lead which they did very well indeed with Thomas making a few crucial tackles to stop Copmanthorpe equalising. Jake had to make a few saves also which when under little pressure for long periods of the game showed how crucial he is to the team effort. Damien showed what a menace he is and will continue to be this season with his all round play and forcing Copmanthorpe goalkeeper into some fine saves to keep the score line down.
