Match report   'Ford march on into the last 16 of the cup!

A bright start from FFC today at home to the unbeaten Easingwold Reserves as Sam Harro rifled the first of his 3 goals within 40 seconds of KO; No2 for Sam and Ford came ten minutes later with another rifled effort giving the keeper no chance.

Some crisp football from FFC in the first half today so it was something of a shock when the youthful Easingwold team pegged one back and brought themselves back into the game. It didnt last long though as further goals from Graham, Jarvo, and Sam Harro saw Ford cruise into a 5-1 interval lead.

The second half was something of a disappointment as Ford eased off and went through the motions. A penalty to Easingwold gave them brief hope only for Jamie to score a trademark solo goal as he burst through a couple of tackles and lifted the ball coolly over the keeper for 6-2 and thats how it stayed.

So the last 16 beckons and a favourable draw may just see Ford dreaming of cup glory; they'll have to play for the full 90 minutes though if thats going to happen.

East Riding cup next week, again at the Parish Field against opponents from the east. Onward and upward!
