| Match report | We seem to have hit a bit of losing streak and are conceding a lot of goals, and yet the team spirit and the lads performances are very good i was very pleased with the way they performed against Pickering and likewise today. Its a real shame that we missed a couple of early chances and Tadcaster never but thats the way it goes and at this age going a couple down early on can set the scene for the rest of the game. Unlike last week where Pickering had a couple of star players Taddy have no real stars but are just a very strong squad no one of them stands out. thier number 8 was a big strong lad and he was making some runs early in the game but that was as far as it went really. We started off OK and gave them a couple of tests early on. All the back four did well and the 6 -1score line didnt do them justice they played strong held the line and made clearance after clearance. on a coule of occasions tads number 8 ran at us and he was a bit of a handful, on Came Frankie and he played an absolute blinder today once he came on the no 8 went quiet it was a very solid peformance from frankie today with some crunching tackles and the number 8 didnt like it we concede a couple of early goals and went in 4-0 down at half time. Everyone kept thier heads up despite the score line and we went for them in the second half, all the subs came on and after a real battle in the first half Ross, Oli B, and Will all came off with knocks. Tad always had the edge on us but the 2nd half was a lot closer Scott started getting in the mix Chris and guy were solid at the back and Cameron and Frankie played physical and agressive football. Midfield were the same David as always was involved in everything and Aaron was solid and chased everything in the game. Oli C on the left grabbed us a consilation goal but Tad had bagged another and 5-1 was a tall order, James was up front with Oli B and later Dan the front men didnt get a lot of service today but they did their best to try and break them down James got a nasty knock and had to come off and Ross stepped in up front. Tad got a penalty and made it 6-1 Its hard for the lads when they play well and get beat its the way it goes sometimes it happened to us last season too. I do think Tad are the team to beat this season. North Duffeild have asked us for anohter friendly game next week they really like us and they commented on how good our keeper was against them Ben made a difference today again as usual. But Man of the match this week has to go to Frankie who crunched into the big lad in the number 8. Well done |
