| Match report | This was Fulford U8s first game at their new home ground - The Outgang. They started very brightly and went one nil up when a shot from Sam was parried by the keeper and it fell for Luca who finished from close range. Fulford were unlucky not to add to their lead when first Sam and then Paul saw long range strikes come back off the post. Fulford made it two early in the second half when some good play down the right from Sam and Luca saw the ball crossed to find both Nicholas and Freddie unmarked and they both claimed that the kicked the ball at the same time to claim the goal! Haxby played some neat passing football throughout the game and were unlucky not to get a goal this good play deserved, when a good move down the right led to a long range shot that hit the post. Fulford added a third when Paul won the ball just outside the left edge of the Haxby penalty area and then curled a fantastic shot into the top right hand corner of the goal. Fulford 4th goal came when Paul found Freddie with a through ball and he slotted it in past the advancing keeper to round off a great team display. It was good to finish with a clean sheet thanks to some solid goalkeeping from Joe and Harle and excellently timed tackles in defence from Davis & Nicholas. |
