Match report | Again the Vikings didn't get the result they deserved. Our goal was untroubled in both halves with Jordan and Harrison dealing well with everything that came there way.The reason our goal we didn't concede was because of the excellent defending by Alex, Joseph, Miles and Daniel Pickup and the closing down play of Harrison, Daniel Bardi and Jordan. This was a very competitive game and there were some hard but fair tackles going in which saw a few injuries. In a game evenly matched, Brooklyn took their chances but the Vikings launched a brave fightback and our goal was finished off by Jordan after another good run by Joseph. Daniel Bardi had to go off injured after putting in some fantastic tackles. The Vikings could have equalised in the final seconds when we hit the post and the follow up was saved by their keeper. A great display and there is no need to be disappointed after a day when we showed our desire to win through being well organised, playing as a team and getting stuck in . Player of the match: Daniel Bardi for his great runs and tackling. |
