Match report	The Lions played 5 a side today as both teams brought 11 players. The team consisted of Andrew, Emma, George (first 10 mins only), Ryan M., Archie and Joshua (10 mins of Game 1 plus Game 2). Andrew was the main goalkeeper for the Lions today, with Ryan going in when his goalscoring flare was getting a bit much for the Copmanthorpe team. George and Joshua swapped teams in the first game, also to help to balance the matches. The Lions were certainly rampant today, scoring 20 goals in two games. The Player of the Week trophy was awarded to Ryan. There were three things that secured Ryan the trophy this week: He willingly went in goal, despite having not been one of the intended goalkeepers He actively looked to pass to teammates in a better position than he was He never stopped running and was rewarded for his efforts with 12 goals today. I’d like to say well done to all the Lions today. This was your first match and you looked very solid in all areas of the pitch. George, Joshua, Andrew and Emma all scored today and Archie was a terrier in midfield, putting in some great tackles and winning lots of good balls. Well done to all of you.
