Match report	A Tough opening game against a good York RI team who played in the year older league last year. With the loss of several players at the end of the season it was a new formation for the girls also. Katie J had a great game in goal, with a "worldy" save in the first few minutes. The new look defense of Eleanor and Tash grew stronger throughout the game with some great defending, supported by Jodie in a new holding midfield role. The front three of Anwen, Katie A and Lizzie ran their socks, worrying the home defense and all looked shattered at the break with the new 30 minute halves. Second half the girls got stronger and stronger with Franchesca and Izzy pushing the home defense deep into their own half. Player of the match was Eleanor for a great defensive display.
