Match report	The score shows a heavy defeat for us on Sunday. But that doesn't tell the story properly. Our team of 8 players began by playing a friendly game with 4 of the Easingwold boys while the first 'official' game of the day was played on the main pitch. We formed two teams of six and had a terrific and evenly-matched game where all of our players shone. We saw players like Sol and Alfie making great attacking runs, and Oscar making tackle after tackle in defence. All of you were terrific, as were our Easingwold pals. By the latter part of this first game players were visibly tiring, and when the 'proper' game kicked off a few minutes later and Easingwold started like an express train I don't think we knew what hit us! We were 3-0 down in as many minutes, and although all our players gave it a good go and began to compete well we were always on the defensive. I think we have to take our hats off to the Easingwold team, who were simply better than us. But at the same time this Sunday's games showed how our football is getting better all the time, and what a great spirit we have. Ben took the Player of the Day award, after playing much of the second game with a sore foot that made it difficult for him to run. Congratulations Ben, and well done also to Ryan and Henry for their efforts in goal.
