| Match report | Today we welcomed back both Jack and Ethan into the team following recent knocks and both were to make invaluable contributions. An open game saw good movements from both teams early doors. Jack and Eddie's new defensive partnership looked solid, but some cool short passing in front of the Panthers keeper left him on the ground and Clemmie was left with a simple tap in after Luke's pass. Luke had further efforts well saved by the Panthers keeper before we forced a corner. Liam 's corner was brilliantly glanced in by Clemmie at the near post. They repeated the feat again shortly after but Clemmie's header just went over. A 3-0 would surely have put the game to bed. on the stroke of half tome, however, following a mix up in the Fulford defence Panthers pulled a foal back. With a few half time changes and some lapses in concentration Panthers somehow managed to score 4 times. The little left winger broke from defence on each occasion, leaving a trail of chasing maroon shirts behind. He was on fire and caused havoc with 3 pull backs from the by line leaving Joe with little chance to stop the PNthers attacker in slotting away each time. Joe made a couple of fantastic blocks and was unlucky not to stop a Panthers penalty, awarded after more slippery skills from the Panthers left wing wizard. At the end of the game Luke scored a consolation after Jonathan had had a stunning shot tipped over the bar. |
