| Match report | o this weeks match was against one of the best teams in the league Bryton Belles as we put our unbeaten start to the season on the line. One word can sum up our performance in this match 'Brilliant '!! After a few chances at either end and good goalkeeping from both keepers (April for us) both producing great saves. The pressing from our fantastic front four (Alyah, Alex, Chloe and Lucy) had the Bryton defence scrambling all over. This is what led to the first goal, Lucy passing to Alyah who finished (off the gk) to make it 1-0. We defended well (Annie and Ciara) and had the numbers back but just switched off for a second letting Bryton in to make it 1-1. We were unlucky not to be leading at half-time as Alyah had a shot but got cleared off the line. The second half was ours from start to finish. Freya came on and did brilliantly at the back. A great through ball from Lucy had Alyah one on one with the gk, she took it round her and showed such bravery to get her body in between 2 Bryton players to make it 2-1. They couldn't live with our pressure and attacking, another pass from Lucy put Alyah through to finish making it 3-1. It was déjà vou again from Lucy to Alyah to make it 4-1. Chloe had a very powerful shot which hit the cross bar and Alex had a couple of close shots. Elle and Phoebe came on and kept the Bryton attack out as we deserved to win 4-1. |
