| Match report | Back in the points lads!!! Starting line up today was Ben in goal with Chris, Guy (captain), Frankie and Cameron in defence. Midfield was Scott, David, Aaron and Ross. Ollie B and George as striker. Sub was Ollie C and Dan. Going into this match I had a strong feeling we could win this one. We started really well playing the ball on the ground and keeping possession. It quickly paid off with a lovely opener from George. We held possession fairly well through out the beginning of the first half but we then started to let Tockwith get too much play which led to them getting an equalizer. We subbed Ollie C on in centre left but he was carrying an injury so he needed to come off after only a short spell with Dan filling in there after. Tockwith built on their goal and finished first half with a 2 – 1 goal lead which could easily have been 3 or 4 had Ben not made some terrific saves. Second half we started with momentum and George notched up a second from strong midfield possession. However we looked vulnerable at the back forcing some good saves agian from Ben, so swapped David into defence and Chris moving forward which helped enormously, but with play messy the ball spilled for Tockwith and they went ahead again. With 5 mins to play we started to put enormous pressure on Tockwith battling for every ball and creating shots on goal and forcing corner kicks. In the last minute of play Ross delivered a great ball into George who scored a brilliant goal to bring us even and him a hat trick! Man of the match goes to Ben for some outstanding saves and keeping us in the points. |
