| Match report | Another comprehensive win and clean sheet, despite the chaos of trying to put the posts up and the ref not turning up, the lads seem a bit hungrier these days, and today we always looked in control of things. Ben in goal played his most confident game of footie today and never put a foot wrong and kept another clean sheet. We put seth in at R back and he did himself proud and him and James linked together well on the right wing today, guy was very strong in the centre with Frankie and with the ever more reliable David mopping up Tockwith were clearly getting frustrated, its hard for david as he is such a versatile player who never panics his best position is midfield, however it is no coincidence that we have played better and won games since he played in a sweeper role. Cameron T and Oli C were winning everything on the left wing, Cameron was romping away with it he can dish it out too when it gets physical. Aaron and chris were dominating in the centre and it was only a matter of time before our dominance started to pay off, Oli B was up front on his own and was making a nuisance of himself. All the time we were on top and eventually Olic C found himslef on the end of a nice through ball from James it wasnt a dead cert but he struck it nice and it was 1-0, we were seeing more and more of the ball Ross came on for Seth in defence at R back and seemed to have inherited some extra speed today and was winning everything. Tockwith came at us from time to time but david Ben and guy were stifling thier play and today was our day not theirs. Next thing we were attacking a corner it dropped to Oli B and bang 2-0 Oli B gets his goal its been coming for some time and this was just what he needed. 2-0 at half time we discussed the wind and the way it was effecting the game, but were confident we could get more goals for a while in the second half things went a little limp Cameron and Oli were dominating the left this was where play was been directed by the wind but we seemed to have gone off the boil and were ball watching we swapped James for Seth to give him a rest then 10 mins later Chris came off with an injured foot Oli B for a rest and Dan came on up front. James went into the centre of midfield it was still stalemate and although we were edging things Tock were causing us a few problems. Aaron swapped to the front and Dan dropped into midfield and 2 mins later Arron scored and it was 3-0 then after a few more attacks Cameron scored a pearler from the left side great goal 4-0. again we were pushing forward and aaron scored another from 25 yards great goal 5-0, everyone played out of their skin today and Man of the match is always hard to call, it never goes to a goal scorer, today ben david,Guy, etc were contenders but it had to go to Ross today he seems to have developed some pace from no where and was on top of his game today, well done Ross |
