| Match report | Good result today ground out a win fair and square nothing really contencious no arguments we deserved this one and got it. Billy Orpe had very little to do all game and did well to stay sharpe for the duration. The back four had a strong game Guy and Ben in the middle and Chris on Right and Cam left, a confident display. Osbaldwick have a couple of lads who go in hard but these guys stood up to any assault made to intimidate with calm composure. Midfield Aaron in centre with Freddie, Frankie on the right and Ollie Bates left all looked fine and strong in there Osbaldwick were a bit bigger in size but our midfield i think won the battle today, up front we had David and Will. As the game progressed we quickly got control of it and started to dominate and had a couple fo chances to score. then David put the ball through it scuffed and Osbaldwick player but trundled home. then cam our second through a strong ball in from Chris Pape it took the keeper by surprise and he couldnt reach it 2-0 to us. second half was pretty much the same in terms of chances on goal we had many they had very few, we went furhter in front and should have really thrashed them by a big score. David getting another to make it three. Scott came on and played a very stron game and was close to making it four as was Ollie B. They pulled one back for a consolation goal. As a game it was a good performance Osbaldwick were not dire they played OK we have been closer this season against as bad if not worse opposition and we deserved the points.it has been a thing with our game all season we beat teams but do not murder them and we have been caught out on a couple of occasions through failure to put it in the net, but today never felt like a game we were going to throw away. |
