| Match report | Our first home match and we didn't start very well. At the moment we are not being consistant enough. We have short periods where we keep the ball well, then we have periods of the game where we end up giving the ball away far to easily and making silly mistakes. When we do give the ball away we aren't working hard enough to get it back, this maybe down to fitness and it will be harder this year as the teams are better in the first division, so don't give the ball up so easily, therfore we have to work much harder. It was 3-0 at half time Jay having a good game and getting to the ball before thier striker but when the ball was getting cleared they were getting to the first ball first, and also winning the second ball which made it difficult for us to get any possesion. The ball kept coming back at us. The second half was a different story where we had loads of possesion and created many chances. Unfortunatly we never converted any of them as thier keeper was outstanding and kept us out. It was much better, and with a bit of luck and some better finishing, it could have been 5-4 or even 5-5. At least we are creating chances so I am not too concerned yet. Thier manager said that we out passed them and that the game would have been much tighter if we had taken our chances. We just need to do the right things for longer periods, we then can control a game instead of chasing it. Keep up the second half boys. |
