Match report | The Tigers continued their better, more competitive play through most of this second game, but a few players slowed down towards the end. We had to defend quite a few corners, but determination to get to the ball before our opponents meant that Brooklyn had few real scoring chances. In attack we continued to show great team-work, and today I believe I saw the best passing and movement that the Tigers have produced in a match. The 0-0 draw is our best result of the season so far, but I think we could and should have won this one – if everyone had kept going full steam to the end we probably would have. POD: Ben put in two of his best performances so far – in the first game he created a lot of good attacking positions with his goal-kicks, and followed them up strongly with attacking runs and a few well-timed passes. In the second game he took his turn in goal and kept a clean sheet, so it was a good morning’s work all round. FOR THE NEXT GAME – build on what you’ve started today. Be alert, and try to get to the ball before your opponents. When our team has the ball get into a good position to receive a pass, control the ball, look up, dribble or pass the ball - and then move into another good position. See you all on Friday I hope Tim Regan |
